Letter from Sinzu

ok well this is sauce kid. sinzu is sinzu, yebariba father etc. lol. as u knw im a clown. im very cool, down to earth even when im high wit the most high im still down to earth. iv run around in circles with many things in life. but the one thing i take very seriously is my passion for music.... i had an argument with a close pal yesterday about the direction of music in nigeria.

without name dropping, he's a charismatic individual who happens to belong to the most successful camp in nigerian music scene at the moment, im sure u can start taking the wild guesses now.

his point was, one doesnt have to work too hard to show people that he can rap etc, or he's a lyricist etc. he claims u can have only one song and that one song can propel u to the next level. he also went further to argue that, sometimes that one song can make u so much money where u dont feel the need to put out an album. anyways, i disagreed.

N dis caused a serious argument. my side of the story was simple. i came from America, influenced by the likes of eminem, fabolous, jadakiss, busta rhymes. my career was heavily induced by the works of these guys and for that fact, what i bring to the table is a blend of what these guys had done b4. my Americanism is just as profound as my nigerianism and i am in a constant battle to balance both and appeal to at least 2 markets. of course my buddy would go on to argue that i should forget about the American market and concentrate on a nigerian market where most of the sounds coming from here are watered down content.

i left a family, life, and hussle mentality in america to come to nigeria to pursue my dream. that dream which took me out of the streets of l.a, which took me out of the preying eyes of the lapd, the gangs in l.a, the wastes in life. for anyone else, music might be a means to an earns, but for me its a PASSION. its removed me from the bottom of many things and is positioning me in a zone were i am praised, recognised and appreciated for my talent, productivity to the industry.

For Me , its a passion, not just a means to make money.
For Those who tend to not like what i have contributed and continue to contribute to the industry, thanx, ive learned one thing from u guys. ur drive to prove a point, ur drive to see one fail. ur drive to continue to downplay what u know within ur heart is real, true and good. that drive u have to see ur wishes come true, is the same drive x1000000 i have to make sure i succeed.

So while y'all making up new internet ids online everyday to slander me on the blogs, keep in mind that since i know yall wont stop. i have no reason to stop. one day, whoever stops will answer why he or she started in the first place.!

besides, real artists dont blog, they give ppl material to blog about. lol

im not here to be ur best rapper, most controversial rapper etc, im here to make history and feed my Daughter Neje'i
